Edina Ronay Handbag from TK Maxx

I am on the hunt for a big bag. One that could be slung across my shoulders so that is easy to hold both children's hands when we are out and about.  Also I like my hands and arms being free. The satchels I have seen have not done anything for me. So I was almost tempted to buy a Primark handbag which looks like Paul's Boutique handbags. I actually thought my friends's bag was from Primark but it was a genuine Paul's Boutique bag (oops!). See I do not follow fashion to that degree to know what is what and who style is what.

So I headed to TK Maxx today on a whim. I love looking at their handbags and tend to buy my purses from there. Most of these designers I have never heard of except the few commercial ones. I spotted this brown handbag with gold accent on the front and thought it looked nice. I aways want a black bag but do love brown ones too. I saw the black equivalent of this same bag but it did not have the same nice appeal as the brown one. It is by Edina Ronay and original price was £80 but I paid £22 for it. Which to me is just a normal price for a bag anyway. I am not even sure if it is leather as I cant smell that awful scent leather has.

I am quite happy with my purchase. I can't complain especially as it has a long strap as well that can go across the body when I cannot be bothered to carry it. Think I need to browse TK Maxx more often. By the way does anyone know why TK Maxx is called TJ Maxx in America. So much for universal branding. I still need a bigger bag though. Might have to save the pennies for one.

Baby Phat TK Maxx bargains

TK Maxx is slowly becoming ne of my favourite places to shop for handbags. They are always shelved or hanging in their colour groups which can be useful. A few weeks ago I bought this lovely purple and gold Baby Phat handbag. The only down side is that it does not have a zip. It simply fastens with a magnetic button which is no good for the amount of stuff I can convince myself I can carry in there. Though I figured it is perfect for work and whatever else you would need a bag for.

I only paid £12.00 for it. Normally I would never buy something just because it looks good. Um well as some of my friends read my blog I might as well be honest. I just bought it because the price made it a pretty bargain and it came in my favourite colour combination. It reminds me of my childhood in Los Angeles. Cheerleaders wearing purple, yellow (gold in my eyes) and white etc etc. I just like purple.

What do you think of my impulsive buy? I am sure I will be in TK Maxx again soon as they have a really cute Apple Bottoms bag that is in some arty looking green combo that I want.

TK Maxx, Apple Bottoms

The family travelled to Burton today. It is a small town where you can find some nice bargains if you look for them. My husband was doing holiday shopping whereas I was simply in search of a new handbag. My intentions was to buy a bag the sits across the body so that whilst I am with my boys my hands are free.

However me being the impulsive shopper (when its an obvious bargain) got a bit too happy when I spotted some Apple Bottoms handbags in TK Maxx. I managed to persuade hubs to buy one for me and I bought the other.

I always find it amazing that TK Maxx always seems to stock the occasional Hip Hop brand. I have bought from them Fetish by Eve, Rocawear as well as more mainstream brands. TK Maxx may not always be current collections but you do find great pieces in there. My boys left the store with Ed Hardy hoodies, thanks to the sharp eyes of their shopping pro Aunty.

I am going to try force myself not but anymore handbags until I save up for a more premium bag. Maybe a Mulberry or a Chloe or just something different than what I usually get happy with.

Have you found any bargains in TK Maxx recently please let me know? After all bargains are this lady’s best friend!!
