It is that time of the year again for Big Brother UK. I am watching it thinking okay so I know what the line up will be. A handful of gay and bisexual people, the token or handful ethnic minorities and the totally odd insane people. Indeed that is what you get this year. This social experiment shall be interesting.
Anyway I am watching this show when a young black girl appears on the screen. Her voice sounds familiar and her face too. Just a bit more grown up. Then she mentions that she suffers from Lupus. I was like no way, please do not tell me her last name is Brown. Then I heard Sophia Brown. I was like oh my days. I had to log into Facebook to check if friends from my school and family updated their status’s. Yep it has been confirmed that is Sophia.
I am in a little shock as you do not expect to see people you know on telly like that. She was quieter back in the day. She still had a interesting laugh. Just know that I know her and her sister is sadly missed. Now I know I will be watching this season with interest.
PS – I must say she is looking fierce. Beauty and Brains.
I'm sure she's lovely IRL, but she needs to stop that squealing she was doing lat night! Good God!!!!
ReplyDeleteI just think BB in general has lost its innocence...compared to before. The people going into the house are now very media savvy and seem fame hungry whereas before it was about "finding yourself" or just for the experience.
ReplyDeleteI dont think I will be watching it too much this year and only saw a handful of the people going in. But the ones I did see seem very arrogant, conceited vacuous...I could go on!
I didnt see Sophia's entrance so cant comment about her.
Plus Davina McCall gets on my nerves..!
ReplyDeleteDavina irks me at times. Though she does make some things interesting. however the way she let Makosi get booed whilst she quietened down the crowd for others was just shameful.
ReplyDeletewow the world is small, my uncle also had the same shocked reaction when he saw sophia on the TV, apparently the family are old friends!

She looked fab on eviction night though. Unfortunately I don't think we had long enough to get a true feel of her personality.
Yeah it would have been nice for her to stay in longer. but such is life and the fickle british voting public.
